Great news for all bird enthusiasts! Wild Republic has entered into a partnership with the National Audubon Society to create a line of realistic looking plush beanbag state birds. This partnership also includes The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, who has provided the authentic sounds for each bird to further add to the realism of these plush toys.

This Greater Roadrunner's call was recorded November 3, 1983 in Chiricahua Mountains, Arizona, USA, and was a song to defend territory and attract a mate.

The Roadrunner is New Mexico's state bird and is found across desert and open areas in the southwestern United States. Rarely taking flight, their long legs allow them to reach sprinting speeds of up to 15 mph. At ground level they pursue a variety of prey including insects, snakes, lizards and birds. Roadrunners are usually seen alone or in pairs.
