Great news for all bird enthusiasts! Wild Republic has entered into a partnership with the National Audubon Society to create a line of realistic looking plush beanbag state birds. This partnership also includes The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, who has provided the authentic sounds for each bird to further add to the realism of these plush toys.

This Mountain Bluebird's call was recorded May 26, 1990 in LaGrande, Oregon, USA, and was a song used to defend a territory and attract a mate.

The brilliant Mountain Bluebird is Nevado and Idaho's state bird. During summer, they are found at highest elevations of Mountain forests in western North America. During winter, they migrate south to desert areas. Their diet consists mainly of insects, fruit and berries. Loss of woodland habitat has made finding nesting sites increasingly difficult for this species. As a result, bluebirds enjoy and benefit from man-made birdhouses.
